As you all know,Dark Souls:Prepare To Die Edition has moved from using Games for Windows Live to Steamworks.Unfortunately there's also a bad side to this.For those who are using mods like DSfix or DSMfix,you'll find out they aren't working anymore,or simply the game just crashes after launching it.No sweat. First of all you will have to install a fresh copy of the game.So: Step 1: Uninstall the game.Go to Library;Dark souls;Delete local content; Step 2: Delete all the remaining files. Go to your steam directory \Steam\steamapps\common and delete the folder called "Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition". Step 3: Download and install the game again. Step 4: Download DSfix 2.3[dropbox.com]. Step 5: Download the mouse fix DSMfix09 DS1.0.2.0[onedrive.live.com]. Step 5: After Steam finished downloading the game it's time to install DSfix v2.3[dropbox.com].Go to Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition\DATA and unzip the contents of the archive.(The archive contains: one folder called "dsfix" and five files named: "DINPUT8.dll","DSfix.ini","DSfixKeys.ini","README.txt","VERSIONS.txt").Make sure to extract all of them in the data folder. Step 6: Installing the mouse fix patch DSMfix09-DS1.0.2.0[onedrive.live.com].Go to Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition\DATA and unzip the contents of the archive.(The archive contains four files named "dsmfix.dll","dsmfix.ini","dsmfixgui","readme".Make sure to extract all of them in the data folder.
